Call 988 anytime day or night for  free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones. You can also see more resources on the 988 website.

2-1-1 United Way Resource Directory
Call 211 or visit the Kansas 211 website to find local resources related to housing, food, transportation, clothing, employment, legal challenges, etc.

Veterans Crisis Line - Support for All Who Serve
Dial 9-8-8 then press 1. A free, confidential, resource with trained counselors ready to support all service members; 24/7.

Army Emergency Relief Website
Provides immediate relief in the event of an emergency to address things such as rent, money for food, other payments, etc.)

Make the Connection Website
If you are a veteran, or a family member of a vet, facing challenges in your everyday life. You are not alone! Find stories you can relate to.

Coaching Into Care Website
National telephone service of the VA aims to educate, support, and empower family members and friends who are seeking care or services for a Veteran. Their goal is to help Veterans, their family members, and other loved ones find the appropriate services at their local VA facilities and/or in their community. They also provide coaching to family and friends.
Military & Family Life Counseling Program Website
Access to free counseling services in the local area for the entire family.

National directory of various resources and benefits for spouses and family members.

Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors Website
TAPS provides compassionate care and resources to all those grieving the loss of a military loved one through their national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones. Their helpline is available 24/7 at 800-959-8277.  

Military and Veterans Caregiver Network
A program of the American Red Cross that offers peer-based support and services to connect those providing care to service members and veterans living with wounds, illnesses, injuries and or/aging.

Student-Specific Resources

Kansas State University Students 
Telus Health App is a way for you to connect with someone right away directly from your phone. It is a 24/7 Student Support Program full of free access to a variety of well-being resources. Download it from your phone's app store.

Lafene Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Website
Provides individual therapy, group therapy, and workshops. All consultation services at Lafene CAPS are covered by student service fees. Enrolled students may receive up to 8 individual therapy sessions per semester at no charge. Mental health consultation is available 24/7 by calling 785-532-6927.

Family Center
Offers individual, couple, and family therapy boy in person and remotely via teletherapy. Clients are charged according to a sliding fee scale which accommodates those experiencing financial distress. Complete their Request Therapy Services form. Current wait time for services is 8-10 weeks. 
Manhattan Christian College Students
Through a partnership with Andrews & Associates, MCC students are able to access up to 6 sessions a semester, for just $10 a session. You can visit the MCC Resource Website to learn more about getting a referral.

Manhattan Area Technical College Students
MATC students and families have access to WellConnect student assistance program, which can help with counseling, life skills, financial and legal consultations, etc. Visit WellConnect and used code MATC-STU to get started.
